I didn't know exactly what to expect from this other than that I knew it would be fairly short. I was surprised to discover as I played though, that it was a time-loop game. Which is cool I guess. Probably made it easier for the devs, to extend the game without needing more assets.

Mechanically, I found the fights to be more fun than the base game of Alan Wake. The nail gun proved to be a lot of fun and packed a punch. I didn't find the mechanics as engaging as the Alan Wake 1 DLCs though.

Having the whole thing wrapped up in an episode of Night Springs was fun as well. I don't know that I'll ever think about it again, but I had a decent enough time with it and I'm sure it'll add context for when I eventually get to Alan Wake II.
