I took the time to platinum this game which is something I rarely do I just did not want to stop playing this game. something about the more rhythm based aspects of the game along with memorizing the flow of combat really works for me. I also really loved the aesthetic and the story. if you love the dodge and power creep of other souls games this may not be your jam. However if you approach it as your own thing you will find a game that is incredibly rewarding when mastered.
