2022

✔️ Tested on Steam Deck, works fine (10/12/2022). You'll need to use the touch screen for the menus. B button works to advance text ingame.

Short metafiction visual novel with enjoyable enough story. There's a Spanish word that perfectly describes its humour and it's "mamarracho".

Everyone should give it a try since it's free and takes an hour at most to complete.

✔️ Tested on Steam Deck, working fine (10/12/2022). Only touchscreen works for everything.

I was curious about the other game developed by 'idk?' so I decided to go through it fast. It looks less polished than 20b but has charismatic characters and depicts some very relatable moments and ideas.

Worth giving it a try, it also free.

❌ Doesn't work on Steam Deck (10/12/2022). I get a completely black screen everytime I start the game.

Wow, that was a completely unexpected turn of events... Writing could have been better but it probably looks weird mostly because of the translation to English.

✔️ Tested on Steam Deck, it works very smoothly (10/12/2022). The game is prepared to be played with controller so it fits Steam Deck's controls perfectly.

I remember I loved Fran Bow so I had quite high expectations about this game. It has less game interaction and you don't get to influence the story too much but it was still good and creepy af.

It's a really cool story but the replayability to get all the endings and achievements could be waaaay better.

✔️ Tested on Steam Deck, it works decently enough (10/12/2022). You can only use the touch screen to advance the text and select the choices since buttons don't work at all.

It's a very sweet and cute yuri love story but... did they really have to be... sisters............ Although the subject is treated in a very sensible way and the writing is great, still feels weird to read and empathise with the characters.

✔️ Tested on Steam Deck, it works pretty decently with the touch screen (10/12/2022)

Just a nonograms game... the interface is cute. The difficulty scales really slowly so it's easy to pick up for players with any level of experience with these puzzles. There's some minor visual bugs but nothing game-breaking.

✔️ Tested on Steam deck, it works fine (10/12/2022). You'll need to use the touch screen in the menu and during choices select. 'A' button works for advancing text.

Bittersweet short story about loss and grief. The writing is great, when the characters talk about those raw dark feelings it sounds so accurate it hurts. Make sure to give it a chance, it's free.

✔️ Played on Steam Deck, it works fine (10/12/2022). You need to use the touchscreen to advance the text tho, A button doesn't work.

I liked it but where is chapter 2 D:

✔️ Works fine on Steam deck (10/12/2022) You can use the A button to advance text.

It has great graphics and presentation but the story is all over the place: nothing makes sense, lots of plot holes and abrupt endings that leave you with even more questions than at the beginning. No clear direction in any of the routes.

✔️ Played on Steam Deck, it works pretty fine! (10/12/2022)

Beautiful fairytale (both art and story) condensed in a short visual novel. It has an actual good message.

✔️ Played it on Steam Deck and it works fine (10/12/2022). You need to use touch screen for the title screen but for the game itself the A button works fine to advance text.

Too short game, but considering it was created in just a few days for a game jam it looks pretty decent. The art is good, the voice acting nails it and the character looks kinda charismatic even with the short dialogues.

❌ Doesn't work on Steam Deck (10/12/2022). It gets stucked when trying to load main menu, right at the start of the game.

Never seen a visual novel with so huge production value before, it's completely worth the price. The story pace becomes a bit too slow right in the middle and everything has a comical tone added. Not recommended if you don't like silly humour.

❌ Doesn't work on Steam Deck (10/12/2022). I get an error prompt when I launch the game.

Honestly this visual novel should have some trigger warnings for gore, r4pe and disturbing content. It wasn't at all the kind of story I expected, it's based on a true story and deals with really heavy subjects. Despite the poor translation I liked it (in a really bittersweet way).

✔️ Played on Steam Deck, working perfectly (10/16/2022)

Reading this game made my heart feel really heavy as I recognized some people I know in the characters' behaviour. Definitely not a game for everyone. Replayability to get all endings is a bit uncomfortable.
