The game that affirmed Hoenn as my favorite Pokemon generation. Not only have the sprites and audio been highly improved during the series' shift to the GBA. The Ruby/Sapphire games were also the first generation of Pokemon RPGs that has integrated a Legendary Pokemon into the main story. Bold move, satisfying result.

A nice new direction from your standard Pokemon training and battling gameplay. Taking photos of all the cool Pokemon in different settings is fun.
