Xenoblade Chronicles definitive edition. Where to start? I love this game, it's easily my favorite game as an experience. gameplay definitely isn't for everyone, but once you get the hang of it and with a little patience, it becomes a lot more enjoyable, and I found myself loving the battles more as I got further in.

Even if you don't like the gameplay, the environment and world is beautiful, with it all connecting in a way that makes sense. The world concept itself is pretty unique and it's executed very well. The music is phenomenal, the battle music is epic, the story music hits, and the area music is the most beautiful I've ever heard in anything, with the whole soundtrack being redone and some of it even being orchestrated.

The story is great, it's engaging and interesting, and honestly quite long, but manages to not feel stretched or padded out artificially for the majority of the game. You can customize your characters outfits as well as play as your favorite at any given time, provided they're a party member and you're not in one of few parts of the game. The characters are likeable as well, and each have their own reasons for being there.

The combat is great but the weakest link, but when you put the game as a whole, it's honestly a beautiful and unique experience. It left a deep impression on me and set my view for what rpgs should be like. 10/10, easily worth the price.

The combat is made in a way that you can get a really good rhythm going and make it flow in a sense, and the better you maintain that, the more fun and rewarding it gets.

There's also a new epilogue added for this version of the game, which is another 10-15 hours of content. I beat all but the very last side quest of it, and enjoyed every moment. It fleshes out one of the characters from the original story, and is justifiable as a dlc purchase, but is included in the base game. It's a great addition to an already outstanding game, and makes me love it that much more.
