Assassin's Creed II is the start of the Ezio trilogy of games within the Assassin's Creed series. It is commonly praised as the best in the series and it is easy to see why that may be the case having just completed the first title in the series recently. The story is much more consistent, the gameplay feels much less mundane, and there are multiple progression systems in the form of a town management minigame and gear upgrades. If you want to play through the game to see the story through, you'll enjoy your ride along the way. However, if your goal is to complete the game with 100% completion, you'll find yourself in constant states of frustration as you try to complete some of the obscure puzzles of the game and pursue a never-ending collect-athon of feathers. Because of this, it dragged down what could have easily been a 4.5/5 game to a 3.5/5. I'm told that future installments have remedied these issues, so I look forward to continue with the series. Nevertheless, I'm happy that I played through this game. I definitely recommend it and it is an absolute "must-play"- title for anybody trying to experience the story behind the series.
