Despite the generally average star rating I give this game, Pikmin 1 is so damn charming and fun. The pikmin themselves are as goofy as ever and the time management gameplay is very satisfying. Along with this, the games bite sized time to complete makes it very approachable. The reason I take away some points is mostly just from some jank with how the pikmin move as it created a lot of artificial difficulty that stemmed from struggling to get the pikmin to just do a thing without falling into water or some shit. Along with this the combat didn't feel all too satisfying or rewarding to me. Regardless this is still a must play for anyone looking to get into the Pikmin series.
