A remaster of Pikmin

Find your way home in the original Pikmin-plucking adventure

Meet Captain Olimar and a capable cast of red, blue, and yellow Pikmin on a dire mission across a larger-than-life planet. Olimar must guide his loveably-leafy companions through obstacles, in battle, and when collecting his missing ship parts. Your oxygen will only last 30 days, but the Pikmin provide a glimmer of hope that you may make it home.

I now get why everyone loves pikmin this is extraordinary. Seemingly very simple but in reality one of the best puzzles games of all time.

I played Pikmin 4 then came back to play the first two. I love that the game just drops you in and that's it. Olimar's logs and the ship part descriptions are a highlight. Now the jank is an issue. It's the same issue you're going to have with any old game, a lot of my reviews are probably going to mention this. But because it's the first game in the series, the controls aren't great, it's annoying to try to throw a specific pikmin and the little idiots will walk straight into dangers and get themselves killed. Annoyingly the ai issues don't get fixed between the first two games. I don't let first installment jank effect my score though. I had a lot of fun and can really appreciate a lovely short game like this.

Solid Game, Very few complaints, it's not perfect the controls can be clunky at times, and the Pikmin AI is garbage, but it's still great, highly recommend

A great introduction to the franchise. I personally skipped it out during the Wii era and personally started my journey with pikmin 3 but went back and wanted to play the start of the franchise and it's definitely a different game. a Bit more challenging but the freedom is there. having the 3 original pikmin types there really help expand the possibility of task you can do overall.

This the first game that made me understand why people enjoy speedruns

Some of the cutscenes are out of sync with the music and it will never stop bugging me, but I can look past it a bit for the sake of playing Pikmin 1 on modern hardware.
I'm a big proponent of the Silly Little Plant Guys movement.
