dropped in the last 20 minutes of the game as I got softlocked due to not having enough antirads and there was no way I was loading an older save

people will try to make it seem like there's more to this game than there actually is, in reality it's very shallow and not even a functioning game. Imagine pretending this is a good game. the only thing setting it apart from any other shooter where you follow waypoint markers is that you explore an eastern european shithole and your bullets don't go where you aim, a mechanic some people actually defend. if your bullets went where you aimed, the game would fall apart completely, and by the halfway point, that's exactly what happens, proving that the people who made this game didn't actually know how to make a video game. essentially, half the game is rolling dice in every gunfight, and the back half a terrible, braindead shooting gallery (with some dice rolling still involved).
the one thing the game does somewhat well is the setting, but the setting is only interesting because of what it is, not because of what the game does with it. the world is shallow and samey, it lacks any interesting landmarks or layers, the things you can do in it are very limited, the enemies you fight and NPCs you meet are not interesting.
I did enjoy how oppressive the early game felt, with seemingly endless bandit ambushes forcing you into scrappy gunfights, but it didn't manage to stay that interesting for long.

braindead, b route redeems it

doesn't feel as good to play as the original and it's soulless

like 1/3 of this game is utter garbage
