A massive step up in regards to visuals, and in regards to the story it's unbelievably good. It manages to tie together all the major plot beats from Alan Wake and Control really well and doesn't make it feel like a convoluted mess by the end as things are revealed. The combat isn't great, but it's a clear improvement from Alan Wake 1 and the only major problem I have with the game.
