Games like resident evil always manage to put me on the edge for the entire playthrough, the ambient is so weird and devoid of any life that almost seems like i am walking through a liminal space filled with nothing but monsters and the constant fear of being killed by something around the corner . The player rarely bumps into someone really alive in these games, and even if you find someone they will be as helpless as you are, nobody is more realiabe than yourself in this game, because the only one that can really save you is yourself. Me being the scaredy cat that i am, always refused to play any kind of survival horror games, but since i started playing the RE series this year i'm beggining to enjoy the genre and the weirdness it brings. This constant sense of fear and agony that comes from being trapped in this weird mansion full of abominations isn't the only problem, you can die really easily, 2 or 3 bites will take Jill down, so be really carefull with your resources, if you get hurt a lot you will be healing a lot, and this game isn't really kind when it comes to ammo and healing itens!

This combination of mechanics, scary enemies (yeah i still fear ugly lowpoly models from the PS1 era) and omnious atmosphere makes up for one hell of a game, i just love it from the bottom of my heart! :)
