So this was clearly the work of a Fire Emblem fan and intended for fans of that series. I have no experience with it, so it meant certain aspect of how this was meant to work on a mechanical level took me some time to figure out. It didn't help that there didn't appear to be a fullscreen mode and the speed of the action meant it could be a bit difficult to understand what was going on.

But as a short, story and consequence focused strategy game i think this was pretty good! The fights were decently challenging and building up your party only to have to make the choices about whether to sacrifice them for victory in battle really adds to the tension.

This is one of those games that's clearly intended for multiple plays and while that's not my jam, if it is yours and you're a strategy fan I'd recommend giving this one a go.
