OneShot is a meta-narrative "puzzle" game featuring out of bounds mechanics. The game starts off in a dark area with your protagonist, only to discover you are not playing as them, instead you are considered a being of your own in the world. You will be watching and helping a child adventure through a world they're not part of. Everyone is aware of your existence and are felt by it.

Puzzles are logical and not hard to figure out as long as you speak to people. The usage of out of the game's bounds were interesting to see, fiddling around with files on your computer are the easiest to do. However the chances of not spotting a room due to low field of view or not understanding instructions given can set the player running through rooms multiple times.

The game features unique artwork for its engine, the world art may not be impressive, but the artwork made for the cut-scenes and talk sprites help present the characters a lot. It is hard to get tired of the music due to pitch shifting and changing songs dependent what's best for the mood.

Notably i witnessed these issues during my time playing the game.
-The pacing
-Characters falling flat
-Side-tracking rarely rewarding.
-The chance to feel lost or confused
-Unnecessary backtracking. (Eased with fast travel options.)
-Few standing out puzzles
-Layouts and tile sets, which make areas look bland or noisy.

TLDR: Story game featuring good presentation of atmosphere and world building. Unique experience due to meta-narrative story, relationship with the protagonist and outside the box gameplay.
