At the risk of being sent to the guillotine, I actually kinda agree. I like the music and Mario controls his absolute best here, but I really am just not pulled by level design or aesthetics. It's competently made, but I never feel much of an urge to go back nor any strong feelings for it outside the absolute banger castle theme.

hot take: super mario has yet to properly peak.
