The hypothetical perfect Metroid game plays and feels exactly like this, but it is not this game. Very solid overall but brought down by a lack of enemy and boss diversity, though I felt the reuse of assets was executed well with the EMMIs, as the zones they inhabit differ enough to give those encounters personality. Music and environments are pretty forgettable and don't inspire me to bother 100%'ing it. Still one of the best games on the Switch.
