Everything that can be said about Symphony of the Night has already been said due to its grandiose reputation Because of the decades of praise heaped upon it, SotN has had many "modern re-evaluations" questioning its quality with a more modern perspective. I cannot deny that even the few CastleRoids I've played so far post-SotN have greatly expanded the formula and accessibility of the genre, but something has to be said about the one that did it this good; that's especially considering Super Metroid was released only four years prior.
