Top 10 Games That I Played in 2020

My favorite games that I played in 2020.

Gris
Gris
This platformer is very beautiful to look at, but it wasn't my favorite in terms of gameplay. The story messed me up quite a bit too, but it was very well done.
RimWorld
RimWorld
I have a soft spot for colony management games, but no game has ever managed to get me hooked for SO LONG. I love this type of game, and Rimworld is like brain crack to me. The learning curve is a bit steep, but the game has many difficulty modes to accommodate even first-timers to the colony management genre. Amazing modding community too.
Little Nightmares: Complete Edition
Little Nightmares: Complete Edition
My all time favorite horror game. I loved playing this when it first came out, and this year I decided to buy the DLC and replay the base game and go through the DLC afterwards. I was very, very impressed. The atmosphere of the game is one of my favorite things about it. 10/10, god I can't wait for LN2
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition
...yes, I never actually did a full playthrough of this until now. This buggy mess of a game was like a rollercoaster. I will never forget the day Lydia got punted into the sun, I hope she's having fun up there

Another horror-ish platformer, I got this game recommended to me from my friend, as it's one of his favorites. I was very surprised to see how much it reminded me of Little Nightmares. Entertaining puzzles, and a story that will plague your mind with questions for the next few days. Fun!
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition
Whenever anyone I know asks me for a platformer game recommendation, this is the first one I tell them to play. Stunning visuals, emotional soundtrack to go with a heart wrenching story and very smooth and satisfying movement mechanics. Ori is a must play.
Beyond: Two Souls
Beyond: Two Souls
An 'interactive movie' type of game. The main character is played by Ellen Page, my favorite actress. Very fun to play through, but a bit of a pain to hunt for achievements. Aiden, despite being invisible for the entire game, shows a great range of emotions through his actions. Some of those actions are of course done by the player, but the ones done independently from the character are a pleasure to see. 'The Dinner' chapter is a great example of this! Bonus point for having a multiplayer option.
Terraria
Terraria
This game is a huge grindfest, but it very rarely felt like one. It has a variety of things to do, and the sense of accomplishment I got from hunting achievements but also completing my own goals was very fun. Bonus points for having the multiplayer option too. I played this with my sister and we had tons of fun together.
Limbo
Limbo
I played the demo version of this a few years ago, and decided to give it a go. Not much of a story in this one and not as horror-ish as the other platformers of its kind in this list, as its main focus is the puzzles.
NieR RepliCant
NieR RepliCant
I've been listening to the OST of this game for years, but I never got around to playing it. Now that I did though, not only do I love the soundtrack more, but it hurts my feelings in the best of ways
