I never played this back during its brief popularity, and I was surprised by how the base game attempted to avoid too many of-the-time references. this could have dated itself to disasterous results but instead keeps a relatively low-key sense of humor throughout the whole thing with only a few eye-roll mid-2010s memes to speak of. in terms of how it actually plays: it has the bare minimum amount of setpieces to keep it from being a joke of a tech demo and that's it. some of the quests/events are relatively involved to figure out with few hints; I would imagine this would've felt much fresher back when you could have heard how to complete something by hearing the solution from a friend. at the very least the game is generous with providing movement options and a useful slow motion mode. I also appreciate the stability of the game; for a game based around its buggy physics and object interaction it surprisingly had no crashes or soft-locks during my brief playtime. overall a decent platinum trophy to get in a few hours and move on.
