OverdosedOnGames finished Killer Frequency
Killer Frequency is a game that I thought had a wonderful concept, and when it started with a more comical tone, I wasn't really enjoying that. But as the game unfolds, that comical, cheesy 80's horror tone, really amplifies this experience.

What this game does is create a vibe and atmosphere so well, that's really what it excels at, at least that's what I think. While the story and characters are good, they are very formulaic for a game of this tone, and for the cheesy 80's horror movie tone I think they were trying to aim for.

The art style is great, and the music is superb. All the conversations when you are trying to save people are great, and all the dialogue is quite well written. The design of The Whistling Man is also extremely good.

While not scary, nor gory, the game offers a very casual friendly experience that could be recommended to anymore that wants a vibe inducing, story based, choose your own adventure mystery game.

OverdosedOnGames completed Spellbreak
Spellbreak, like Darwin Project needed more time, and players to really realize what it wanted to do. The art style, gameplay, and ideas that the game had were all extremely unique, and were new for the battle royale genre.

Sadly, at the time Spellbreak came out, there just already were 3 massive battle royale games, that people didn't want to get into another one. The game is also just too unique even, for the general public, and many casuals, you need to have an idea to go for everyone, and Shooting with guns is very easy to make appealing, wizardry and magic isn't.

If this game kept popularity, and was able to really continue going, and showcase its great ideas, it could have been another major battle royale, but sadly that never got to happen, as the game has shut down.

OverdosedOnGames finished Joy Land
Joy Land is just another one of these games, I don't know what to say anymore. Yeah, graphics are better than some of the other games coming out, dev team seems younger, and there does seem to be passion put into it, but the game is just bad.

The villain design was cool, that's about it. He's barely fleshed out, and his final chase is terrible. The rest of the game is a slog to get through, and instead of being funny bad like BanBan, this is just bad.

OverdosedOnGames completed Darwin Project
Darwin Project was easily the most unique of all these Battle Royales releasing to compete with Fortnite. The whole winter, warmth mechanic was really cool, and just the aesthetic and art style of the game was incredibly cool.

There just isn't much to be said since this game barely had time to shine, and try to better itself with new ideas, and mechanics. If this kept it's popularity, I think it could have been something quite special.

OverdosedOnGames completed CreativeDestruction
Creative Destruction is just a clear Fortnite ripoff. It was created to capitalize on Mobile audiences when Fortnite wasn't on it, then they tried expanding this as it's own game, but it never took off because Fortnite just does this game way better.

The building and editing in this game was atrocious, I hated it so much, way less fluid than Fortnite's. The whole game itself was incredibly cheap, and just pretty bad. It was also incredibly easy since 90% of the player base is on Mobile.

The only kind of cool things were the gliders, and whatever that sucking tool was that got materials for you, that was it.

OverdosedOnGames finished Fortnite Festival
Festival is by far the best new mode they introduced into Fortnite. And I believe this is the mode they were expecting to underperform compared to the other ones they introduced.

The game is just fun, and is a good unwinder after playing a few games of Battle Royale. They have so many both licensed songs, and new original songs, that really change up the variety of playing it.

The key mapping is also pretty good, and I do quite enjoy this one a lot, way more than the other modes.

OverdosedOnGames finished Rocket Racing
Rocket Racing was a failed experiment in the whole new Fortnite metaverse concept they are trying to produce and expand. The game is basically Epic Games showing off that they own Rocket League, and are pushing it into Fortnite.

While it isn't the same as Rocket League, you can tell that Rocket League being owned by Epic is the only reason they made this mode, to promote the game to new players. They even had the Rocket League team make this game mode, and concept it.

The mode itself is just a mediocre racing game. Yeah, the graphics are pretty, but besides that it's the same as hundreds of other racing games out there, not bad, just mediocre.
