I am replaying the entire series in release order, and I was especially excited to play this one. It does not hold up well in 2022. It sets up the games that succeed it, but that's honestly about it. The game isn't that fun and doesn't really have that much going for it. The main story consists of having to do 3 investigations (minigames) to unlock the main target, and repeat until the game is over. The parkour made me want to delete the game entirely at times and the repetitive nature of the game made me ask myself why I was playing and made me consider skipping it on more than one occasion. Don't even get me started on that ending and how lackluster it was. It might not be a popular opinion, but I felt so strongly about this that I needed to write this.
