What Does WarioWare?

It’s not necessarily nasty what Wario is wearing, it’s more nasty what he isn’t wearing…

(I haven’t played Move It yet, but I plan to add it if I ever get around to playing it)

WarioWare: Twisted!
WarioWare: Twisted!
Who would have expected throwing a gyroscope (and force feedback) into a GBA cartridge would lead to one of the most creative and content packed WarioWare instalments?

This was also the first GBA game I ever bought for myself. It was the perfect choice, to say the least.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves
WarioWare: Smooth Moves
The Wii remote doesn’t always work perfectly, but otherwise, this is one of the most fun uses of motion controls I’ve played.

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames!
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames!
It's certainly simple compared to other WarioWare games, yet still one of the most consistent as well. It's also surprisingly difficult at times. It took me months to finish as a kid!

WarioWare Gold
WarioWare Gold
WarioWare might be one of the only series where a greatest hits compilation sort of game works perfectly in its favour.

...And if I'm being honest, I actually prefer the art style change.

WarioWare: Get It Together!
WarioWare: Get It Together!
The microgames tend to be a bit too homogeneous and the playable characters are incredibly unbalanced. That in mind, the core of the game is super creative and it's astonishing how well it all works.

WarioWare D.I.Y.
WarioWare D.I.Y.
The process of building a microgame is honestly more fun than actually playing them. I still find the DIY aspects enticing and they remind me of Mario Paint in plenty of ways. It's just a shame the microgames all blend together.

WarioWare: Touched!
WarioWare: Touched!
This might just be the WarioWare of all time. …Is that an accomplishment?

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Games!
WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Games!
I realised how little this appealed to me when I had more fun with the multiplayer minigames in Mega Microgames than any of the multiplayer modes here.

The presentation also feels so lifeless. Which is impressive, considering this is WarioWare.

Game & Wario
Game & Wario
Game & Wario is different, but that’s certainly not a bad thing. What IS a bad thing is half of the game modes it offers.

WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase
WarioWare: D.I.Y. Showcase
The appeal of WarioWare DIY is completely lost with this one. And despite touting itself as a way to store DIY content from the DS, it has less space???

WarioWare: Snapped!
WarioWare: Snapped!
Even when I was able to get this game to work for me, I was underwhelmed. If you want to attempt to play the dullest WarioWare microgames ever designed, then Snapped is... no longer available for purchase, actually! Perhaps it's for the best.
