Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a sequel to both the original spider man game and miles morales and because of this I knew the sequel was going to have some problems as they needed to somehow juggle both Peter and Miles's stories in this and honestly I have always cared about Peter Parker more,I enjoy his side characters more,his rouge gallery more and overall I think he's a better structured character and I care about him so much.Having Miles here kinda shafted Peter a bit and I was very afraid of this happening
I don't mind Miles as a character but I would have much rather preferred playing as Peter only,there's hardly any differences between the two in terms of gameplay.Uhh this game is more of the same as the previous two which is nice and all but where I really enjoyed the game was clearly the story.Lots of emotions being thrown at you,the performances are great,the boss fights are epic,but I do feel as it took a while for black suit spiderman to kick in as well as Venom to show up.For how much they marketed him,I just expected him to be front and center on the game but he just acts like Doc Ock from the first game where he was only the villian in the third act of the game .Ngl I was a bit disappointed by this and my expectations were set high,I honestly thought this game was going to take the world by storm,it did there's definitely some salty sony babies who are mad this didn't win game of the year,but I mean if the first one didn't...then how could this one win??I personally enjoyed the first more the second but that's just me.Exploring new york with all new means of traversel,they expand upon this,they expand on the combat.When Peter gets the black suit he's able to dish out heavy damage for a certain period of time,very similar to the rage combat from God Of War .It's very fun and it just shows how dark and evil Peter can be to his enemies
He shows no mercy and doesn't hold back.Symbiote Peter is definitely the highlight of the game for me,the second and third acts of the game are peak
The first is it a bit slow,it's definitely setting up for the rest of the game but it's just not as memorable to me other then the amazing Sandman intro boss battle where you're switching between Peter and Miles.Mysterio's challenges are fun but it really should have been Peter doing them and not Miles,(or at least have them both playable)that's not his villian but whatever imma overlook it.That rhythm game you play as Miles during his first encounter with Mysterio was so weird like wtf was that 😭🤣

Great game,had a lot of fun with it,worthy sequel I think Insomniac could have been cooking this for a while longer and make the side content and some of the story more engaging
