this game has both one of the WORST first 2 hours of any game ive ever played, and its immediately followed by one of the best parts of a resident evil game (z-day in tall oaks with leon and helena). after that the game is just kinda mid the rest of the way through. the way it incorporates multiplayer is pretty cool though, i wish i got to experience it when it came out

it feels like the game re6 couldve been if they had focused the game more on that kind of truly apocalyptic feel. i dont think re6 being an over the top action horror is even a bad thing - its just that they do it in such a boring way other than tall oaks. the only other part that comes close to that vibe is the initial virus gas attack in lanshiang (also leon's campaign!) especially the part where you quietly drive through the empty streets immediately following the attack. very eerie in a way the game doesn't ever even try again
