What I would consider one of the greatest stories in the SNES library. Graphically, it is a step up from FFIV and FFV, with more well-defined characters, sets, and enemies. In terms of gameplay, it feels the same as the previous two with little bits of polish here and there, in part thanks to the better level design and pacing of the story. The biggest improvement has to be the story, with it being a huge step up from FFIV and FFV. Every character, with few exceptions, feels fleshed out and the world they live in feels real. Going to the opera or riding on the phantom train, moments like these are what make FFVI so special. I highly recommend anyone who wants to understand what makes the Final Fantasy series so special to play this game.
