Deserves 5 stars alone for completely revolutionizing the gaming scene when this took over. You can thank this title for crossplay, which is undeniable in its importance for multiplayer gaming. You can also commend Epic Games' dedication to having a strictly-cosmetic business system for this game. Those 2 things are extremely important to mention about this game. Other than that, we've got 3 modes to discuss for this one.

Battle Royale: A somewhat unique and whimsical take on the BR genre that was taking the gaming scene by storm at the time. The most important mechanic was the building feature, where you could build walls to protect yourself, or stairs to traverse terrain better. Nowadays, there's a build mode, and a non-build mode. Equally as much fun, but hard to review since its an ever-changing game. Every season, lootpools rotate and the map undergoes major changes. This game has had very high highs and some lows throughout the years. There's also been a fair share of events, which were extremely revolutionary for any game at the time, having an event that takes place in real-time that players could witness like it was a movie or something. This game constantly had something that felt like it took its audience by storm, and they continue to grab player interest and shake up their own scene every so often. This game has been going strong for over half a decade, and I don't see it stopping anytime soon.

Creative mode/UEFN
One of the most important things about this game for longevity concerns is the Creative mode. In simple terms, its a lot like Halo's Forge mode. Players can use pre-existing assets within the game and behavior modules to make their own game and such. It's very user friendly and people continue to make amazing things with the mode. Recently, they've released their own editor engine called UEFN, which is probably most compared to how games are crafted in Roblox. A lot more can be accomplished in this mode and editors are able to use external assets this time, and code parts of the game themselves. I am very eager to see how this editor continues to grow and there has been countless awesome experiences that have been made with this engine thus far.

Save the World
Fortnite's original mode. Save the World is a kind of tower defense/horde shooter mix-up that is very unique. You build your fort, and defend from waves of creatures from the Storm. It can get quite complex and creative throughout the campaign, but a bit repetitive. This mode is still supported with new seasonal events that offer unique modes and mission types very often. Overall, this mode can be very fun but is one of those things that you either play for countless hours, or come back to every once in a while. Player interest on this one varies quite a bit, and its understandable.

That about does it for my review of fortnite. Overall, I believe they've always brought something new to the table over the years and the game still continues to evolve into something greater. They never fail to grab my attention in some way almost every new season that comes out. I think I will continue to play this game for years to come yet.
