At first it comes off as something akin to a Portal 2-- wake up in a test chamber of sorts, do puzzles, get your base narrative from a disembodied voice of a quirky scientist. It follows along these lines, insinuating more and more dark, unsettling things the deeper you go into this strange dreamscape. I think that is, ultimately, to its detriment. The optical illusion puzzles and later scenery you come upon is fascinating and (mostly) fun, if working the controls (at least on PC), can be a bit finnicky at times. The end of the game goes much more abstract, with a simple, but sweet message, that I think would've personally benefited the game more from the get go.

A bit short, but definitely sweet, and it certainly doesn't overstay its welcome with any of the ideas or mechanics that get introduced later on.

Randomly saw this on the Superliminal page and you absolutely incapsulated my exact thoughts on the game. Great review!
