Contra, the original soulless cash grab. Rips off recognizable movies to bring in the player, and (at least in the arcade) uses difficulty to keep player throwing in their money. I'd be fine with the difficulty if there was at least something resembling passion, but this game is devoid of any personality whatsoever. If this game is considered a "classic" it's no wonder why nobody takes video games as art seriously. The icing on the cake is that it isn't even that fun.
