A fairly underrated shooter (gets plenty of praise in certain circles of the internet) that deserves better.

Before there was Apex: Legends, there was Titanfall. A fast paced shooter that combines mech based combat with an excellent out of mech movement system, Titanfall 2 is simply a joy to play. The combat is unique and enjoyable and the campaign is one of the best fps campaigns we've gotten in the last decade.

I want to keep this review spoiler free so all I can say is that there are a number of very memorable levels within the campaign, one in specific that is so well regarded it has its own Wikipedia page.

I will say there is one fight later on with a boss named after a specific reptile that takes place in the 2nd or so half that is rather annoying on the higher difficulties. Other than that I had a blast throughout the campaign.

There is a multi-player element which has potential but has the issue of being so niche now that new players are bound to be destroyed by the enormous skill gap between them and veteran players.

I wouldn't recommend Titanfall 2 for the multi-player at this point unless it really looks appealing to you, but since you can often find that game in the single digits in price, I HIGHLY recommend picking it up for the campaign. Seriously, you can get the game for less than a coffee when it's on sale. Check it out!
