One of the earliest mega-mods I streamed online to share with people how fun this game was. I've already completed the first two X-COM games and so the idea of playing more had my attention!

The story is set after the invasion where X-COM has failed and this group of women were genetically modified slaves who decided to one day escape and become pirates. Spending their time to raid and steal from enemies and due to being modified, they're stronger and can take more hits than average humans.

There's also a interesting idea of research routes where you can only progress down one certain route, leading to many reasons to replay the game and experience what happened down a different path.

I will also warn, there is quite a bit of pornographic images, hentai, in the Bootypedia (their version of UFOpedia) and you also get to see the women naked or naked men, though all pixely on the many characters.

The combat is a lot of fun and better as you have multiple and viable melee choice for characters since you can use anything from daggers and Cutlasses like Pirates that they are emulating, to powerful axes and chainsaws. Same goes for the guns where you can use flintlock weapons and others to keep with the pirate motif.

A very fun, though also lewd game that I totally recommend and can't wait to play again myself!

Gameplay + Stream

Following updated as of 2/2/2024 with Version N6 (Updating now as I realised I have a older version)

So I've been playing what was the latest edition (at least I thought so) of this Megamod that has pretty much taken up all of my days! As can be shown from my listing here.

Anyway, there's more stuff to it now and so glad I added this to this list because it's a well worth game and you get to unlock and hire all kinds of humanoids and even creatures of all sorts. Something I want to get into is making sub-mods for it, like the current ones I have adds different kinds of music, craftable neko uniform (because the most recent versions of the mod adds cat girls as a recruitable unit!) and space oni (based on the popular anime show) who can't use most armour, but have the ability to fly and such, but anyway:

The research tree is just so damn huge and I find myself struggling with keeping alive as quite often my infamy falls through the floor, though it is because I need to keep up with scaring the enemy groups with interrorgations and doing MANY missions of whatever I can as otherwise, it is quite a struggle to keep up, imo. Not to mention, it's really cool that the different routes give you all kinds of different paths with either a focus on scamming, setting up a hotel, getting a peasent revolution, being a dungeon master or going full in on Nekos and getting more cats attracted to your base! It's really cool that there is such a HUGE web of things to research that almost never ends!

NOTE: I do not recommend supporting the creator. Normally I would, however, there's some suspecious stuff that happened in the past where their Discord server got nuked: https://openxcom.org/2022/02/openxcom-and-xpiratez/

If the above is true, then it's pretty ironic that one major enemy group "The Humanists" are essentially Nazis and yet the creator and his friends seem to condone racism, anti-semitism, sexism, CP and more!

This is just a recommendation though, if you feel fine with giving money to this person, then by all means. I can't stop you. I'm just letting all those who may/want to get involved what dark things are hiding behind the scenes.
