I've had this in my library for more than a year now so it felt gratifying to finally complete it.
It's a very fun platformer that can really test your reflexes and has a lot of creative ideas. My only real problem with the game is that it feels very simple. Levels don't really stand out that much and it feels like it starts repeating ideas near the end instead of introducing new ones. I played a little bit of the co-op story and it was pretty fun. It does really give you the choice to actually complete levels together or just cause chaos amongst each other for an hour. The art looks like a good evolution of how it look in Castle Crashers and the character designs are very creative especially Hatty, he's got such a simple design that's really fun to draw. Overall I enjoyed my time with Battleblock Theater and can see why people love it so much alongside The Behemoth's other games.
