A genuinely original soulslike is already a rarity, but this one comes along and refuses to just be good, it dares to be different. There is truly half a dozen original mechanics being juggled at once and the fact that this game expertly weaves them all into its gameplay is incredible. While the game wears its inspiration on its sleeve, it also creates a narrative revolving around Pinocchio, of all things, and creates an original narrative that just drips intrigue. I was glued to this game from beginning to end, truly a textbook example of what the genre is capable of.
