The original Spyro is a great game, but the Japanese port has a reputation for really weird changes, so I wanted to try it. In addition to the speed and camera stuff, there's also hint signs everywhere. I assume this means the US release of Spyro was deemed too hard for Japanese gamers. Considering I've 100%ed the US version of the game several times, which is too hard for them, and they got a version of Mario 2 that was meant to be too hard for me, I no longer have any need to play Mario 2 in order to prove that I am a god gamer. Thank you, transitive property.
It's very quick and very pretty but I didn't really have any strong feelings about it. I don't really feel like the gameplay reinforced the story at all and I was kind of hoping it would somehow. But when the reveal of what the game is 'about' comes, it's really unsatisfying.
It's Bomberman! This one feels more like, balanced and accessible than the other ones I've tried, where I usually get wrecked by boss fights. I'm very appreciative that the whole level doesn't restart when you die.
