It's been a long while since I've played this, and it was on a crappy office laptop, so take my complaints with a grain of salt. The gameplay is generally solid, but I found my inputs had pretty ridiculous input lag. Also, it's all of about 10 minutes long max, and all signs seem to point to it being abandoned, so don't expect a full remake like Triple Trouble 16-Bit.

I think it's great, and the production quality on display here for a fan project is unreal. The gameplay is generally solid and there's a simple storyline told well through primitive (though suitable) in-game cutscenes, but Bosses can be disappointing due to generally being pretty damn easy.

A top-tier Sonic game if you can accept the very different playstyle to the norm - though an argument can be made that this is better than the official stuff - and a testament to the devs' tenacity to work on it for 25+ years. Just don't expect a great storyline, and be ready to download some mods if you want something to do after finishing the 1-2 hour story outside time trials or Emblem hunting.
