I thought this would be good, but not this good, god damn. The controls, level-design, boss battles, and Samus' characterisation are just incredible. While progression is not as non-linear as I would like, the map is brilliant, requiring some serious engagement to find the way forward. The 100% item hunt is super fun too, with some great puzzles that make up for the frivolity picking up even more missile expansions. As far as major complaints go, I guess the music was pretty unmemorable, but any other issue I have with the game is minor. What a fucking return. Feels good.
