Exceptional throughout.

This one is a bit longer and more exploration-driven than the first game, with side-quests and more meaningful collectibles and rewards for exploration. There is a bit of Hollow Knight inspiration in here with the customisable shards, and the combat is much improved with some pretty good boss fights.

But it's not just bigger for the sake of it, there is a lot more variety in the areas you explore and more unique upgrades that make traversal more fun. The narrative is also executed really well again and feels even better than the first game.

Just do yourself a favour and play this on Xbox or PC, the switch version is abysmal, especially in docked mode when it feels sub-720p at times
