I'm a huge Atelier fan, but I didn't like it as much as most people seemed to.
The story was very forgettable (even by Atelier standards), Lulua's motivation to do that much for Stia is not believable etc.
It's also much too long, as it usually is with the later games.
The bosses aren't satisfying to beat for me because it's either they feel artificially difficult, or so easy that you just spam your best items until it dies. I typically play on easy because I don't care about "challenge" in Atelier games. It never feels good.
Interactions are great though, as usual, and this game has some of the best comedy in Atelier. Plus, all the returning characters from Arland made me happy, even though the whole game felt "extra". Seeing Rorona, Totori, Meruru, Sterk, and especially Pamela(!!!) was great.

Below average Atelier overall I think.

While I respect your opinion, I personally can't agree with this. The purpose of the Atelier series is to be cozy/slice of life and Lulua perfectly capture this. Her energy is perfect, her optimism, etc. Music and area are gorgeous. Probably the best alchemy system as well. I will always blame Ryza (my peronal least favorite trilogy of the franchise). The overall structure was more of a regular RPG and less an Atelier game IMO, and I won't say the rest. But anyway, my point is I absolutely love Lulua, I'm sorry you won't feel the same way and I hope you'll experience and Atelier game that'll made you feel the same way as me with this one.

@Minako_Meleph The alchemy system is great I agree! I love most Atelier games, this just happens to be low on the list for me. It just didn't grab me as much as others. (nice pfp btw)

No problem, not everybody can enoy the same things I do, so I understand. (Nice picture too, btw. Glad you're enjoying peak fiction 🤝)
