Not much of a gamer, played this mainly because of my interest in the show. And I gotta say, I actually really look forward to it after playing this.

While I'm not that much into the combat/shootout/etc.-aspects of games in general, it was fine in 'easy' mode. Yes I'm a noob, but the fights just aren't really what interests me in games, so why make them unnecessarily frustrating.

Let's get to the actually interesting parts. Although the concept itself is nothing special itself, the way it's told lifts it up from your average apocalypse/virus story. It's well-written, and it helped that I was invested in the characters from the beginning. The ending is a little debatable, but that's not necessarily a bad thing - it truly makes you reflect about the characters, their decisions and if they did the right and wrong thing.

The graphics also look fantastic, it's a visually stunning, realistic representation of what a dystopian world could look like. The abandoned buildings and cities look flawless and add to the atmosphere. The infected and their sound design are memorable as well, adding a little horror to it all.

Regarding the gameplay, there are some creative ideas here and there that keep the game from getting repetitive, and the overall runtime is adequate - neither did I feel that it was too long, nor like I needed more - it however left me curious what directions part 2 will go into, which I'm also planning to check out eventually.

While I'm no expert I'm guessing this is what you can consider a great game.
