Definitely one of m favourite Final Fantasys, the atmosphere is incredible for a SNES game and the break with more typical fantasy by adopting a sorta steampunk aesthetic is top notch
The narrative at times is funny, silly and just a fun romp at other times pretty serious and tackles themes of colonialism, fascism, exploitation of (labour) power, industrialization, what it means to be human and the meaning life. Only thing I'm not too fond of on repeated playthroughs is the WoR. The concept is super cool, but because you can do anything at anytime it often lacks story and context nad makes some stuff a bit dull. The ending is very good again though.
