Silent Hill 2 was always a game that I knew so much about but I had never played, so much so that I often said it was my favourite game I'd never played. Now that I finally put my own scaredy cat tendencies aside and actually played through the game, I can firmly say that it's as great as I thought it'd be. I can say the same things everyone else has about the story, atmosphere and overall horror but to me, the shining star of SH2 is the sound design and music, with tracks like Heaven's Night, Betrayal and Promise (Reprise) being stand outs. Overall, I very much enjoyed my time with SH2, even if I was secretly losing my mind in fear the whole time.
