On replay I've found there is a lot to appreciate about Witcher 3. The world is the obvious stand-out, lots of depth and lore which makes it feel alive and actually thrives from the game being open-world, and the PS5 upgrade makes it a lot nicer to look at. The length and amount of content would definitely be something I couldn't get enough of if I liked this game, as CD Projekt RED seem to know which quests and sidequests deserve to be 5 minutes and which should be fleshed out more, and it feels like your time isn't being wasted and you're getting more out of this game.
However even after all this I still can't truly enjoy The Witcher 3, which is a shame as I went into this thinking I was too harsh the first time and was hoping to find myself being won over and wanting to put 50 hours into this game, but I find the characters too bland and the voice acting really unnatural to warrant myself playing a game that's so story-heavy when I don't even like the story and the people in it. It's annoying because I can see why people love this game so much, and if stuff was done a bit different I'd love it too, but Witcher 3 for me is just one of those games I'll never seem to enjoy as much as everyone else, but can appreciate for what it is.
