Definitely overstays its welcome. It’s an RPG with a concept that could be cool, using its mechanics and unique gameplay to have a fun tournament plot with some character development, but instead we spend 5% of the time doing that and the other 95% doing Saturday morning cartoon antics and listening to some of the most annoying characters I’ve ever heard. It’s a game made for teens but the dialogue is pandering to millennials and early 10s Reddit users. They’re very lucky the gameplay is fun and the art direction is good cause everything else is NOT good.
