God what a fucking game. I’m so glad I decided to finally play this in its best form because wow. We all joke about throwing around the word but Xenoblade is a masterpiece without any semblance of a doubt. With perhaps one of the most mind blowing twists ever, the narrative of this game is playing 587D quidditch while most everything else is playing checkers. There isn’t much I can say that hasn’t already been said but the OST is probably top 3 all time. Some minor gameplay things like a few dumb bosses that are borderline impossible without turning to easy mode or being an absolute god and a lot of the side quests being eh keep the game from being absolutely perfect but the experience that Xenoblade creates is unironically peak fiction.
