This is probably like a top 3 most visually impressive game up to this point. It will soon be dethroned as we dive head-first into the world of the next-gen, but wow is it almost impossibly gorgeous. This 1:1 remake is almost a little too close to the very janky (albeit very important) original game at times, but still manages to feel very modern when combined with the otherworldly haptics of the Dualsense controller. Demon's Souls functions as a great introduction into what 'next-gen' is going to be, while simultaneously performing as a great entry in the Soulsborne games that does the original game justice and then some. It's not quite as grand as Dark Souls 3 or Bloodborne but is just as important of a game.
