Kinda feel like this is one of those games that everyone has said everything about, but overall the most important thing about FF7R is that it did manage to live up to the insane hype and expectations surrounding it. The game is beautiful and intelligently translates the ATB system into action combat to faithfully recreate the world of Final Fantasy 7 that many had in their imaginations all along. The voice acting and overall character design in this game is honestly incredible, whoever was the casting director did one of the best jobs at not only making the characters likeable and choosing great actors but also almost perfectly accurately translating their personalities. This is also a bit controversial but, I personally think the thing they did with the story is actually just genius, and while it might not have been what people were wanting or expected, it is an incredibly smart way to do a "remake" and has compelled me more than what just an exact recreation of the original story could, making it exciting to see what that is different could happen next. FF7R is overall a very well-made game, and I really think there aren't many good reasons why this isn't a fantastic recreation of the first part of the world of the original game.
