A fun rpg with an overall good story. Although a lot of social links weren’t very gripping to me, I liked the majority of the characters. The combat is the best in the series, but i dislike how easy it is to destroy any semblance of difficulty with a little effort.

As someone who has played both versions of Persona 5 I was surprised with how many small things were changed in Royal and it made me excited to re-experience the story and earlier palaces to see whats been changed. Not only that, but the modifications to the combat mechanics such as baton pass not having to be unlocked, and status effects being useful were very welcome changes and makes the game’s combat feel more fleshed out.
The new content from Royal was very good overall and added one of the best written characters in the game
