As someone with no nostalgia influenced connection with any of the entire series, this was my first time playing and completing a Resident Evil game and I truly enjoyed it. Of course, now knowing they cut an area or maybe even more, I do wish they'd included it as it did seem a bit on the shorter side, I finished it in about 5 hours and that was with me taking my time, not rushing through areas or objectives at all. But even with it's shorter runtime it managed to make me care about these characters and I hope to see these versions of them in future RE games.
