The best Pikmin game. Is basically a refined version of Pikmin 2, with call-backs to Pikmin 1, and the modernisation and fleshed out UI and controls of 3. Caves are improved, as they aren't randomly generated, which means puzzles are much more thought out than in Pikmin 2. Story is standard for a Nintendo game, not very surprising, and the only actual part I was actually thrown back was when the fake out credits introduced Louie into the game, as a homage to Pikmin 2, where the Fake Out Credits in that game show a montage of Louie lost on the planet. There is a lot to do in this game, but it only really gets challenging in the second half, and not by too much. The last couple of caves pales in comparison to 2's levels of difficulty, but still feel like satisfying conclusions to the game, with Cavern for a King being a mix of the Pikmin 2 boss rush cave Hole of Heroes and the difficult final cave Dream Den. The final boss is the only part where I actually lost a fair few Pikmin, which I liked. It felt like it was returning to the old games, rather than Pikmin 3 where you had to be three years old to actually lose pikmin. No bulbmin 0/10
