Solid platformer that really harkens back to the classic 2D Sonic games. The level designs and concepts were fair enough. However, one that really stood out to me was the cyber zone! If more areas had unique gimmicks like that this may well be one of the best 2D Sonic games. The emerald powers were fun to mess around with, though most of them went unused. I'd say the worst part of the game is definitely the boss fights. They go on for way too long, and have some annoying, scripted behaviors. Makes them feel like a drag to fight against. Overall this is a worthwhile 2D Sonic game (but not for $60) that brought me back to the good days of classic Sonic!
