A Good Dragon Quest but not my favorite. This game introduced the monster collection/taming features and while its kind of cool more often than not it can be frustrating to recruit and use the monsters you want. As far as the story goes it was interesting following a character across almost his entire lifetime. i personally found most of this uninteresting. Not nearly as many interesting dungeons as 3 or 4 and the world also felt really small for most of the game. Hard to go wrong with a dragon quest game but definitely not my pick amongst the series
