The plot overall is definitely the weakest point of the whole game, but I can forgive a lot if the characters are good. And Yakuza 4 has some really good characters. I love how everyone is unique and likeable for different reasons. This variety also serves the gameplay, everyone’s style is different enough to feel fresh. Also, I feel like directing was much better than in the previous entry. Overall not my favourite Yakuza, but a damn fine one nonetheless.

And come on, if the legendary Dragon of Dojima, Fourth Chairman of the Tojo Clan, a living legend got pissed on his face by a baby while changing his diaper, then you know it’s a great entry in the series.
